What block rates do our proxies get on Cloudflare, PerimeterX and DataDome?
In our 7-day Camoufox test, our IPs were blocked on 0.06% of Cloudflare challenges, 0.01% of PerimeterX/HUMAN challenges and 0.02% of DataDome challenges, compared with 2.73%, 0.58% and 0.68% for another ISP provider.
Cloudflare Challenge
2.73% block rate
0.06% block rate
PerimeterX/HUMAN Challenge
0.58% block rate
0.01% block rate
DataDome Challenge
0.68% block rate
0.02% block rate
Data computed from Camoufox jobs over a 7-day period. The other provider’s name was redacted.
On PerimeterX, the other provider’s block rate was 58x higher. See the full test method and results. Block rates also depend on your request rate, headers and browser fingerprint; see our web scraping best practices.
What is a web scraping proxy?
A web scraping proxy is a server that forwards your scraper’s requests, so the website sees the proxy’s IP address instead of yours. Spreading requests across several IPs keeps each one under the site’s rate limit: the cap on how many requests one IP may send in a given time.
Sites also judge each IP’s reputation: which kind of network it belongs to and how it has behaved before. Many sites treat IPs registered to internet service providers differently from IPs registered to hosting companies, so the proxy type matters as well as the number of IPs.
Static ISP vs rotating residential vs datacenter: which proxy type do you need for scraping?
Static ISP (what we sell)
An ISP, hosted in a datacenter
Sticky: the same IP for as long as you hold it
Per IP
Logged-in flows, multi-page sessions, steady high-volume scraping
Rotating residential
Home connections
Changes per request or per time window
Per GB
Very wide IP spread
Datacenter
A hosting provider
Static
Per IP
Targets that don’t check IP type
We sell static ISP proxies; we don’t sell a rotating residential pool. Rows 2 and 3 describe those proxy types in general.
Our static residential proxies are the same static ISP plans. Product details: ISP proxies.
Why use static ISP proxies for web scraping?
They read as ISP traffic, not datacenter
Our IPs are registered to internet service providers on clean ASNs, so sites see ISP addresses rather than hosting-company ranges.
Sticky sessions for logins and multi-page flows
Each IP stays the same for as long as you hold it, so cookies, logins and paginated crawls keep one address from start to finish.
Per-IP pricing with unlimited bandwidth
You pay per IP, not per GB, on a 10 Gbps network. See the numbers in our ownership vs renting cost comparison.
Do you need rotating proxies? No: rotate your own IP list
Buy several static IPs and rotate through them in your own code, one IP per task. Our guide shows how to rotate proxies in your scraper.
A private /24 subnet for large jobs
The 254-IP plan is a whole /24 subnet that only you use, so no other customer’s traffic shares your range.
Works with your scraping stack
Paste an ip:port:username:password string into Scrapy, Python Requests, Playwright, Puppeteer or Selenium. Setup is below.

How much do web scraping proxies cost?
Static ISP proxies start at $1.30 per IP per month: $65 for 50 IPs, $125 for 100 IPs or $300 for a private /24 subnet of 254 IPs. Billed quarterly, the same plans cost $175, $336 and $810, about 10% less.

How do I set up proxies in my scraper?
Each proxy comes as ip:port:username:password. Connect over HTTP/HTTPS or SOCKS5 with username:password authentication; IP whitelisting isn’t supported.
HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS5
Every plan supports both. In Chrome-based tools use HTTP, because Chrome doesn’t support SOCKS5 with a username and password.
Username:password auth
Paste the ip:port:username:password string into your scraper’s proxy setting. There’s no IP whitelist to manage.
Setup guides for your tools
What can you scrape with them?
Public data your scraper can reach from a US IP. Three common jobs, each with a working guide:
E-commerce price monitoring
Track prices and stock across retailers: monitor Amazon prices with ISP proxies or monitor Walmart prices in Python. More on price monitoring proxies.
SERP and rank tracking
Check search rankings from US IPs: build a rank tracker in Python. More on SEO proxies.
Market data
Collect listings, reviews and other public market signals at a steady rate. More on market research proxies.
Web scraping proxy FAQ
Can I use a proxy for web scraping?
Yes, that’s the usual setup. A proxy gives your scraper another IP address, so your requests aren’t all tied to your own. With several proxies you can spread requests across IPs and stay under each site’s per-IP rate limits.
