Mission

Own and continuously improve the network infrastructure powering HypeProxies' datacenters, proxy platform, and hosting services. You'll be responsible for designing, operating, and optimizing a highly available network across our infrastructure while helping us scale as the business grows.

• A Proxmox-based VPS platform serving hundreds of B2B and data collection teams

• A custom proxy engine and VPS platform

We're looking for a Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex networking challenges and takes pride in building reliable, high-performance infrastructure.

You'll work directly with the CEO and our infrastructure engineering team on the networking layer that powers thousands of servers across our U.S. datacenters. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in production environments, enjoys ownership, and wants to make a direct impact on a rapidly growing infrastructure company.

What You Will Own

You will:

• Own the production network across our Ashburn and Dallas datacenters

• Configure, optimize, and maintain Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto infrastructure

• Own BGP routing, transit providers, IX connectivity, VLAN architecture, and network redundancy

• Improve network monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility

• Troubleshoot production networking incidents across all OSI layers

• Support infrastructure engineers with networking for server deployments and virtualization platforms

• Coordinate with datacenter providers and remote hands during maintenance and installations

• Build documentation and operational runbooks

• Drive automation across networking operations

• Continuously improve reliability, performance, and scalability

Responsibilities

1. Network Infrastructure

• Design, configure, and maintain routing and switching infrastructure

• Manage BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking

• Maintain network redundancy and high availability across production environments

• Plan and execute network upgrades with minimal customer impact

• Support datacenter connectivity and backbone networking

2. Network Operations

• Monitor network health, latency, utilization, and availability

• Respond to production networking incidents

• Troubleshoot packet loss, routing issues, firewall behavior, and performance bottlenecks

• Perform root cause analysis and document findings

• Coordinate with datacenter providers when physical intervention is required

3. Automation & Tooling

• Automate repetitive networking tasks using Ansible, Python, or similar tools

• Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility

• Reduce manual work through automation and AI-assisted workflows where appropriate

4. Documentation

• Maintain accurate network diagrams and topology documentation

• Document routing policies, firewall configurations, and operational procedures

• Create runbooks for recurring operational tasks and incident response

5. Datacenter Operations

• Coordinate with remote hands teams during hardware installations and maintenance

• Support rack deployments, switch installations, and network expansions

• Travel occasionally to our U.S. datacenters when on-site work or planning requires it

6. Collaboration

• Partner with infrastructure engineers on server deployments and virtualization projects

• Support new product launches from a networking perspective

• Participate in architectural discussions as the infrastructure scales

• Share knowledge and contribute to engineering best practices
