Mission
Build the engineering team, ship what comes next, and repeat. Turn a proven proxies-and-servers business into the company that powers AI agents with our proxy infrastructure and scraping capabilities — and deepen the moat with hard-won knowledge of how to scrape at scale.
The Opportunity
HypeProxies is one of the fastest-growing infra-first proxy and server companies in the market. We've built:
Fully owned infrastructure in Ashburn, VA and Dallas, TX
A world-class brand and reputation
1,000+ servers sold and managed internally
A Proxmox-based VPS platform serving hundreds of B2B and data collection teams
A custom proxy engine and VPS platform
Proxies and servers already work. The next chapter is using that foundation to power AI agents: reliable proxy infrastructure, scraping APIs, and the operational edge that comes from knowing how to collect data at scale. Exact product shapes will evolve. The responsibility does not — build the team, build the next product, repeat.
You'll report directly to the CEO. You'll own engineering outcomes end-to-end — hiring, architecture, delivery, reliability, and the roadmap that connects infra we already own to whatever we ship next.
What You Will Own
You will:
Own engineering leadership for HypeProxies — people, priorities, and delivery
Hire and grow a strong engineering team around infrastructure, platform, automation, and product
Lead the next product wave on top of our proxy and scraping capabilities, especially where AI agents need reliable access to the web
Build and protect a durable advantage from how we scrape and operate at scale — not just from selling access
Keep existing proxy and server products reliable while the company expands
Set technical direction, quality bars, and operating cadence with the CEO
Turn ambiguous opportunities into shipped products with clear ownership
Build the culture and systems so the team compounds instead of bottlenecking on you
Responsibilities
1. Build the Team
Define the engineering org shape for the next 12–24 months
Recruit, hire, and onboard engineers who can own hard production systems
Set clear expectations, mentoring, and performance standards
Create a hiring bar and interview process others can run without you
Grow senior ICs (including infrastructure and platform talent) into durable owners
2. Build the Next Product
Decide what to build next with the CEO — guided by customer signal, not a frozen roadmap
Use our proxy infrastructure and scraping APIs as the core substrate for products that power AI agents
Turn operational know-how from scraping and data collection at scale into product and platform advantage
Ship in short loops: prototype, validate with customers, harden, scale
Keep new work connected to the proxy and server platform we already operate
Kill weak bets early and double down when something works
3. Repeat — Org + Product Compounding
Run a simple operating rhythm: roadmap, weekly delivery, incident review, hiring pipeline
After each product lands, staff the next bet and raise the quality bar again
Reduce founder dependency by documenting architecture, runbooks, and decision ownership
Keep the company shipping while you expand scope — no “pause the business to rebuild”
4. Technical Leadership
Own architecture across infrastructure, platform services, scraping systems, and product surfaces
Make pragmatic build-vs-buy and stack decisions that favor speed and operational reality
Partner with network and infrastructure engineers on capacity, reliability, and cost
Stay close enough to the code and production systems to catch bad bets early
Drive security, access control, and data-handling standards as product surface area grows
5. Execution With the CEO
Translate company strategy into an engineering roadmap with clear sequencing
Surface tradeoffs early — speed vs reliability, build vs buy, hire vs ship yourself
Own delivery dates that mean something, and communicate when reality changes
Represent engineering in customer and partner conversations when technical depth matters
What Makes This Role Special
The responsibility is huge on purpose: build the team, build the next product, repeat.
You'll inherit a real business — proxies and servers that already sell — not a slide deck.
You'll help turn proxy + scraping infrastructure into products that power AI agents, with a moat rooted in how we scrape at scale.
You'll work directly with the CEO with full ownership of engineering outcomes.
